Hey Matt, and anybody else reading this, can you ask your 3D buddies and see if there is possibly an adapter that can be figured out, even with some grinding to make this fit on the X15 axles? Thank you, much appreciated.

I love that analysis, FCX24 axle and SCX24 transmission is very much what a furittek Cayman is. The Cayman with brushless is jumpy but if you ajust the app with 50% power foward and reverse and download the latest software it work just like a SCX24 with the benefit of those strong portal. An experience that would be cool would be to try to find a gearing that would make a mullet build work with a front SCX24 axle and a rear FCX24 one. I’ve tried different gearing but have never find one that would slow down the FCX24 rear portal but I’m sure you would find a work around. Big fan of the channel, great job.👍

I just received mine (the Unimog) and to be honest i am disappointed, the transition between a very slow crawl and a quite high speed is extemely abrupt, doesnt look like that on your video. And no settings available for that. None of my other furitek products does that. Also the motor gets as hot as a soldering iron after two minutes of slow crawl. Really a shame, i like the chassis and always wanted a Unimog. Absolutely not possible to crawl if it jumps forward like that.

Good, honest info as always. The prices are way too high for me, but I’m glad they make a good product. I have only a FX118 with Furitek, and while very smooth, won’t pay whole truck prices for just esc/motor. When will we get a video on the sweet Disco with the upgrades back there? Esp curious how different tires worked for you.

I’m in but yes it is getting out of hand with aftermarket accessories and my budget.

Both servos are bad the FMS servo seemed ok just trailing around but as soon as I got it wedged a we time it stopped moving I thought it went out but it after sitting for a few seconds it started moving again.

cool idea and i was amped on this till you said the price( i am in newzealand so we have to nearly double the price)...as the std lizard pro/motor/receiver is like 90usd for redcat..yes its the cedar and alloy case but its getting up there as the better combo is i think 150, and you have to have a gt5 radio but other combos just use the included radio or you could get the flysky receiver separately if you upgrade the radio later on ....it is clean tho...damn.

Making electronics smaller usually results in them being more expensive, not less. That coupled with Furitek having the market mostly cornered means they can charge what they want because they know people will buy it regardless. Perks of a free market I suppose.

YEP. They are the best. I just bought my third Liz Pro/ Micro Komodo setup to put into an SCX 24 6x6 w/ rear steer. You could use a servo y harness with a servo signal reverser for rear steer, but you'd be stuck with rear steer 100% of the time.

That's awesome. Like you and others have said, just wish these kits weren't quite so expensive. I'm just starting to noodle around with my Ascent18, and the "jumpiness" of the stock system is sort of a pain. This looks so smooth.

does that gt5 radio bind up with the fms electronics?

a fusion motor/esc is almost 1/2 the cost of a furitek motor/esc. that is what itches my brain

I love my GT5. Wish they were a little more affordable. Have you tried the hotracing transmission under drive gears for the ascent18?

Hopefully Furitek is also working on Radiolink integration. I removed the GT5 from my life a long time ago because constant problems and lack of customization.

Do you still have an ascent18 with a venom kit in it and have you been having in cogging issues with it? ive ran through multiple tunes and have just been throwing parts at it thinking its gears or bearings and have reached out to both fuirtek and redcat with no real help or response.

I don`t know, why most guys, buys trail scalers and want that they should drive like a comp crawler?! This will NEVER function!!! Drive this rig like the REAL one. This means "SCALE". And second..., most buys RTR`s and than there comes the mods! Makes no sense. If you put the same amount of money in to it, what the vehicle did cost, or even more, buy better a kit. Informativ video although. Ordered the Disco, best lookin in terms of proportions and look. Happy trails...

@2FM RC, great video. My bully 2 should be here today and I plan to do a partial breakdown and rebuild. I had a similar experience with rc4wd when I ordered my c2x.

What they should do is make the bottom slotted and my then use screws to hold the piece that fits into the axle so you can adjust it forward and backward some

Hey 2FM RC, always love the content that you put out on your channel! Opened my eyes to the potential of the small scale world and has inspired me to experiment making my own custom creations specifically on as much of a budget as possible. Fallen on hard financial times the past couple years so being able to maintain my 1/10 scales (partly my fault because I abuse the hell out of them lol) let alone buy new ones has really grinded almost to a dead stop. But these 1/24 and 1/18 scale rigs have really been what's keeping my passion for the hobby alive. I was wondering if you had any good suggestions on how to get in contact with people that 3D print parts, accessories, custom things, possibly even bodies/pieces to make existing bodies more complete. I always seem to hit dead ends when reaching out locally and when I do find people available to print, they only do SCX24 stuff. Any advice or info would be a huge help and very much appreciated
